DDA will undertake an “agreement to sell”, according to which allottees can not sell their flats for five years. At the time of possession DDA will take the fingerprints of the allottees and these fingerprints are going to be matched after Five Years at the time of registration.
Moreover DDA will carry out yearly survey to check out that the flats are not sold off. This is done to make sure that flats are allotted to only those who want to live, not speculators.
According to DDA vice Chairman Balwinder Kumar, about 24,000 1 BHK flats were meant for lower income group. But many of those who applied were from the middle class and the upper middle class. Now due to the small size of flats, many allottees are trying to sell those flats. But the Law will not support such a deal and selling a housing Scheme flat is totally illegal.
So, if you are planning to buy such previously allotted flat…do it at your own risk.
